Life extension vitamins and additions have received plenty of hype over time, both certainly and adversely. The concept of extending the human lifespan is and always will be a very important mission of the health industry and a large amount of progress has been made during the past 4 decades. Have a look at some of the affiliations out there that push life extension…
The American Aging Association – The First “Mother Ship” of Life Extension Studies
The American Aging Association was formed back in 1970 by a person named Denham Harman – a biogerontologist and Professor emeritus at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The intention of this charitable organization is to give biogerontologists and other scientists occasions to research and share info that would make a contribution to extending human life.
Still existing today, the American Aging Association holds yearly systematic meetings each month of June and publishes smatterings of newsletters and books covering the existing progress that’s being made in the field. In addition, awards are presented to analysts which make stellar contributions and further popularize the goals of life extension.
The Life Extension Foundation
Being another non-profit research-based foundation, this group was formed in 1980 by a major nutritional supplement seller and activist named Saul Kent. Kent first got interested in life extension as a varsity student after reading Robert Ettinger’s book The Prospect of Immortality. Just like the American Aging Association, the Life Extension Foundation promotes studies and research done in the specific field along with publicizes info on preventative medication and life extension vitamins and additions. The LEF publishes a mag each month called Life Extension that helps inform the general public about current research being conducted and the advantages of diet additions. The foundation also provides money to outside parties that share overall goals.
The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine
The A4M was formed in 1992 and its purpose is to make an age-defying medical speciality that separates itself from geriatrics ( the medical care of old folk ). Consultants who take a special interest in age defying medication can attend trade shows held by the A4M, but the North American Board of Medical Specializations doesn’t recognise this group’s pro standing nor the idea of “anti-aging” medication.
These are some of the examples of many associations that support life extension vitamins and life extension supplements. There is a lot of info and research available to the general public, so if you want to find out more about life extension then you must take time to explore the field as much as humanly possible.
